Bomet County Government Office of the Governor Vacancies The office of the Governor, Bomet County wishes to recruit competent and qualified persons to fill the following positions as per The Constitution of Kenya 2010 under article 176 and County Government Act, No.17 of 2012. 1. County Executive Committee Members 10 Posts The following functional areas are essential: Finance & Economic Planning Agriculture , Livestock Development & Fisheries Water, Energy, Forestry, Environment & Natural Resource Public Health, Medical Service and Sanitation. Education, Youth Affairs, Culture & Social Service Lands, Physical Planning & Housing Public Works, Roads and Transport. Law and Public Administration Trade, industrialization, Cooperative Development, Tourism & Wildlife. Information, Communication & e-government 2. County Secretary Duties:- 1. Secretary to the County Executive Committee 2. Head of County Public Service 3. Implement policies passed by County Executive Committee 4. Under undertake other functions as per direction of the County Executive Committee. For appointment to this position the candidate must: Be a Kenyan citizen. Be a graduate with masters from University recognized in Kenya. Have working experience of not less than 10 years in Administration and Management. Have proven track record in managing implementation of projects. Satisfy the requirements of Chapter six (6) of the Constitution of Kenya 2010. Must have done Strategic Leadership Development Programme not less than six weeks. 3. County Public Service Board – Chairperson, Members and Secretary For appointment to this position the candidate must: Be a Kenyan citizen. Be a holder of a first degree from a University recognized in Kenya. For Chairperson and Vice Chairperson, 10 years working experience and for members 5 years working experience. Satisfy the requirements of Chapter six (6) of the Constitution of Kenya Not a public or state officer. Understand the diversity within the County. A Secretary must have Certified Public Secretary of Good Professional Standing and 10 years working experience. NB: A Master’s degree will be an added advantage.
